Endings and beginnings, endings and beginnings, continuous endings and beginnings, grief & ecstasy, dark & light – transitions – as we ride our planet Earth. There’s the daily, the lunar, the seasonal, academic, fiscal, and, of course, the big ball drop of a Gregorian calendar flip to a new overarching numerical vibration that marks one full lap around the Sun.

Happy New Year!

Then, after a few rounds of Auld Lang Syne to honor the passing of time, most of us make some resolutions and point ourselves forward. Of course, there are those evolved enough to live in the moment, but pretty much most everyone who watches the clock tick toward midnight on the eve of December 31st is anticipating some sort of change if only for the sake of reporting charitable contributions to the IRS.
In my case, I consider the changing numerical vibrations. For those of you with an understanding of numerology, you know that 2010 was a 3 vibe for all who recognize the civil calendar, and 2011 is a 4. In numerology, all multiple digit numbers are reduced by adding across except for the master numbers with special enhanced vibrations, and, of course, there are all sorts of advanced configurations, meanings and equations; but for my purposes – a little fun as I tack up a new calendar on New Year’s Day – I just do the simple math and quickly calculate the single digit year for all and then my personal new year.

If you’d like to join in my fun, personal years are configured by adding the month and day of birth to the calendar year, and then reducing to a single digit.
For instance: I was born on May, 14th, so

May = 5
14 = 1 +4 = 5
2011 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 1 = 4

5 + 5 + 4 = 14 reduce to single digit 1 + 4 = 5

Thus, my personal new year vibration is 5.

So what does that mean? Maybe nothing if you don’t believe in numerology. However, as I’ve tracked my numerological configurations and meanings over the years, the numbers have informed me, so I pay attention with a “wearing my numbers like a loose garment” attitude. If you’re curious, here’s a link that offers a very broad explanation of numerology and another link that’s a bit more in depth, and another that gives key words for each number if you scroll down.

My intention or hope for my 5 year which is in keeping with a 5 vibe is adventure. I feel my 5 motor revving to go, see, do, be, meet the new. But, first, I have a commitment to keep, a pledge that I made to me to tell my breast cancer story to myself and to share that journey with others. Lump Lessons – this blog – was initiated in a personal 3 year (creative expression) and substantially grown in a 4 year (productivity through work), and now I’m restless to complete the journey; not so much because I’m ready for a new adventure, although I’m open for that too, but because I’m anxious and excited to have more revealed unto me. There’s more and, perhaps, the juicier or more dramatic parts of the experience yet to be explored.

So Happy or the Highest most Blessed 2011 vibes to all

and onward we go!
